Amazon.com Product Description:
Surround your iPod with legendary JBL sound with the Radial high-performance loudspeaker, which delivers clean, powerful high- and mid-frequency sound along with plenty of deep, distortion-free bass. As a music system, the Radial stands alone, with four Odyssey full-range drivers and a single low-frequency neodymium driver producing a rich audio performance. As a computer peripheral, it replaces (and seriously upgrades) your external speakers and subwoofer, giving your games and music streams some serious punch. And as a multimedia entertainment center, it not only plays your favorite iPod tunes, but sends your iPod photos and videos to a TV monitor. However and wherever you use it, the Radial is a high-performance wonder.
The Radial incorporates a universal iPod dock adapter, which is compatible with most docking versions of the iPod, including the iPod video 5G and 5.5G and the iPod nano 1G and 2G. Simply slide your iPod into the dock and you’re set–no additional cords to connect or adapters to fuss with. As an added convenience, the Radial also offers an auxiliary input for connecting a variety of other portable audio devices, including the iPod shuffle, personal MP3 and CD players, desktop and laptop computers (all platforms), and satellite radio receivers. As long as your portable audio device has a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack connection, you can play the audio through your Radial speaker.
As a bonus, the Radial comes with a wireless RF remote control, giving you the freedom to enjoy your music from across the room, in another room, or outside up to 20 feet. The wireless remote lets you easily change tracks, browse libraries, adjust the settings, and scroll through the extras. Other details include a sleek black housing, convenient one-touch volume and muting controls, a computer-optimized equalization system that produces a complete sound stage, and a USB 2.0 cable for synching and charging your iPod. The Radial, which offers a frequency response of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, measures 12 inches wide by 10.5 inches tall and weighs 2.5 pounds. It’s also backed by a one-year warranty.

Customer Reviews
Listen to this… by Beach Bum
I bought one at Walmart for $125 which is waaaaay cheaper than anywhere else. I was disappointed because the sound quality is not that great based on reviews I read. But for that price, it beats anything in it’s range. It doesn’t run on batteries either which limits it’s portability. Overall, if you’re looking for something that sounds great and you can use in an apartment, cottage or to fill a couple rooms in your home maybe something else will meet your expectations.
Great unit, but shop around for best price by Ed B
This puppy has a great sound for what it is - a micro unit. Don’t expect it to sound like $500 speakers, because that’s not what it cost. Speaking of which, definitely shop around. My buyer’s club (BJ’s) had it for $100, and I managed to get the last one, a display model that turned out to be perfect, for only $40. Even Amazon’s price, though, is worth it for what you get. Two negatives kept me from rating this 5-star - 1) Volume — it’s not deafening (but again, it’s a micro unit). The Bose is a little louder, a lot more expensive. 2)The adapters — they give you half a dozen, for different iPod models. But the one for nano doesn’t fit my 3G nano (too small). As others said, however, not a biggie because you don’t really need the adapter for function. It provides stability only, so just be careful. I’m writing JBL to send a proper adapter — we’ll see.
Excellent sound & performance by Justin Thomas
I bought this about a month ago and have been very pleased with the overall performance and sound quality. Not only does the speaker have a unique look but it also delivers premium sound and is loud enough to fill a room with good music and suprisingly good bass. I like the portability and the remote control works for both the loudspeaker and the iPod.
I would defininitely recommend this unit, great value and performance.
a steal for the price by Zach Leadford
for the sound, looks, size and price its a steal. It has crystal clear treble from the “halo” and great bass from the subwoofer on bottom. I own a bose 321 and the jbl radial sounds just like it only with slightly smaller sound. Also has auxillary inputs on the back and comes with a sweet remote. PAID ONLY $165. Sounddock from BOSE cost $270. Crank up the volume-sound quality stays excellent(definitely sounds just as good as bose). I listen to metal, rock and classic rock on it. Actually gave me a headache it gets so loud. ROCK ON.
